MxV Rail Welcomes Maureen Werner as Vice President of Engineering

September 7, 2023, Pueblo, CO – Maureen Werner has joined MxV Rail as Vice President – Engineering, bringing extensive engineering knowledge and rail industry experience to support MxV Rail’s mission and values. In her new role, Werner is responsible for leading over 100 exceptional engineers in the pursuit of delivering high-quality research, testing, and ancillary services to MxV Rail’s diverse customer base.

Werner recently retired from TTX Company, one of the largest railcar fleet owners in North America. She served as the Assistant Vice-President of Engineering & Research, a position she held since 2008.  Under Werner’s leadership, TTX worked to continuously improve its railcar fleet’s reliability through advanced component design and implemented more efficient and effective condition-based maintenance.  She also served as Chair for the Association of American Railroads’ Equipment Engineering Committee and was a part of this committee since 2008.

An accredited Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois, Werner earned her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University and completed The Chicago Management Institute Executive Education Program at University of Chicago Booth.
