The 28th Annual AAR Research Review will feature presentations and panels with leaders from across the rail industry.

MxV Rail has hosted the AAR Annual Research Review in since 1996, and the 2023 event will be held in MxV Rail’s hometown of Pueblo, CO. Featuring technical experts from throughout the railway industry, as well as leaders from Class 1 and short line railroads and suppliers, the 28th annual AAR Research Review marks the event’s first tour opportunity of MxV Rail’s new facilities.

Sessions will highlight the 2022 AAR Strategic Research Initiatives (SRI) program projects, including compelling insight into topics and technology selected by industry-led committees. The collective investment in SRI research by AAR members continues to drive results in safety, reliability, and efficiency in the rail industry, as well as promote effective development and deployment of innovative new technologies.

Early Career Railroader Research Workshop - June 26, 2023

In addition to the primary sessions of the AAR Research Review, MxV Rail leads this workshop catered specifically to new rail professionals. The goals of this workshop are to deliver a high-level overview of MxV Rail’s diverse research topics as well as our research capabilities and to establish a professional peer-network of stakeholders in railway research, with an emphasis placed on early-career railroad professionals.

The 28th Annual AAR Research Review will be held in downtown Pueblo, Colorado at the Pueblo Convention Center. The Convention Center sits alongside the Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo, a popular tourist destination and activity hub for the city.
